Sports 4/5/24


After 38 straight games away from home the Idaho state Bengal softball team are finally back in Pocatello taking on the Sacramento State Hornets in a Big Sky Conference clash.  The Bengals and Hornets play a doubleheader today starting at noon. The two teams then come back tomorrow at noon for a single game.



The 13th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball Team won game one 11-2 with offense and took game two 3-1 with defense yesterday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.  The Golden Eagles hit five home runs in the first game. In game two, Eva Stoddard gave up just one run on five hits with six strikeouts in the circle.  The final 3 to 1.  CSI will play Southern Nevada again for a doubleheader this morning at 11.



On the baseball schedule for today’s local high school games, Gooding will travel to Declo, Wendell goes to Firth and Buhl, Kimberly, filer,  Wood River all participate in the mid-season classic in Buhl. Tomorrow, Twin Falls visits Burley, Idaho City will be in Twin Falls to play Lighthouse Christian and the Mid-season classic continues in Buhl.



For softball, Glenns Ferry travels to Wilder, Filer goes to Mountain Home.  Kimberly, Buhl and Wood River will participate in the Lady Dawg Spring Classic in Kimberly.  Tomorrow Capital and Middleton visits Canyon Ridge.  Twin Falls will host Kuna and the lady Dawg Spring Classic continues in Kimberly.
