Boise State women's basketball led for a majority of the game, but No. 24 UNLV used a dominant fourth quarter to pull away 63-57, last night at Cox Pavilion.   Boise State concludes its regular season home schedule on Saturday, March 2, against Air Force at 2 p.m. Saturday's game is Senior Day with Boise State honoring its seniors in a pregame ceremony.


The Idaho State men's basketball squad will be playing in Reed Gym for the final two times this week. The Bengals will host Northern Arizona tonight at 7. In their previous matchup this season, Idaho State came out of Flagstaff with a narrow win, 81-79. This will be followed by the Bengals' senior night game and their 2023-24 home finale, as ISU takes on Northern Colorado on Saturday at 6 pm. The Bears took the win in the two teams' previous meeting this season in Greeley, Colorado in a 2OT thriller.


The Idaho State lady Bengals hit the road today for the final trip of the season, first heading to Flagstaff to take on Northern Arizona then moving east to Greeley to take on Northern Colorado.


Boise State University officially announced Dirk Koetter as the new offensive coordinator for the Broncos’ football team.  He will make $460,000, with the term starting March 1, 2024.

From  the scoreboard yesterday, for the ladies, the UNLV Rebels defeated Boise State 63 to 57. 


Five runners will compete for the CSI Men's Indoor Track Team this weekend at the NJCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field National Championships in Gainsville, Fla.  Tomorrows events will include the 5,000 Meters, the 3,000 Meters and the 1,000 Meters as well as the 800 Meter prelim. Saturday's distance events will be the Mile, the 1,000 Meters and the 800 Meter final.


The College of Southern Idaho Women's Indoor Track Team will look to make some noise this weekend in Florida.  The Golden Eagles have at least one runner in each of the five distance races.

 

The 2024 Idaho high school boys basketball state championships have arrived, with single-elimination tournaments set to take over the Treasure Valley this weekend.  Action tips off today with 24 quarterfinal matchups across the state's six classifications. The Ford Idaho Center in Nampa plays host to the entire 5A bracket, tomorrow’s 4A semifinals and all state title games Saturday. The remaining games take place at local high schools.  Locally, Kimberly and Bonners Ferry will travel to play in Meridian.  Tipoff is at 5.  Valley and Potlatch meet up at Vallivue at 5.  Minico and Bishop Kelly will play at Rocky Mountain at 7.  Declo and Nampa Christian play at Capital at 7.  Oakley and Butte County will meet up at Vallivue at noon.  Twin Falls will play Ridgevue  at Rocky Mountain at noon.
