As the district volleyball tournament moves forward, we have a few scores to report. #4 ranked Burley defeated 5th ranked Minico 3 to 0. Minico is now out. Then Burley defeated 2nd ranked Wood River 3 to 0. Wood River is now eliminated from district playoffs.
On the local schools sports schedule for today, first for football, the Murtaugh J.V.’s will travel to Richfield. On to boys soccer for the start of state tournament, Wendell and McCall Donnelly will meet in Vallivue. Idaho Falls and Wood River travel to Caldwell, Blackfoot and Canyon Ridge will be in Caldwell and the Sun Valley Community School and CDA Charter will be at Valleyvue. For the Girls, Kimberely and Homedale will meet at Vallivue. Twin Falls and Vallivue will meet in Caldwell. The Sun Valley Community school and CDA Charter will be at Vallivue. Canyon Ridge and Pocatello will be at Brothers Park in Caldwell and Biuhl and Sugar Salem will be at Vallivue.
For Volleyball district tournament action Hagerman and Richfield will be in Gooding. Burley will meet with 3rd ranked Canyon Ridge this evening at 6 with the winner going to state as the second seed.
