A 30 vehicle pileup just west of Pocatello yesterday morning shut the eastbound traffic down for about 7 hours. Police say the accidents occurred around 8 am due to heavy fog. Minor injuries were reported.


Commuters near Hazelton along I-84 yesterday morning around 8 were redirected because of a power line that fell. The outage affected around 200 Idaho Power Customers. There were no injuries reported.


A fire that heavily damaged a Jerome home is being blamed on a lithium battery for a radio controlled car that exploded. The fire, early Sunday morning gutted the single family home. The occupants were able to escape with minor injuries.


Local veterinarians are warning dog owners of a mysterious illness. The illness can be mistaken for kennel cough and is concerning because of its unknown origin, lack of a specific test, and is similar to other respiratory diseases. Doctors say make sure your pet is vaccinated and limit any shelter exposure, dog parks and socializing with other dogs.


A 19 year old Emmett woman has been charged with seriously injuring a pedestrian in Ketchum. The Blaine county sheriff’s office say 19 year old Clenida Celia Orihuela struck a man along state highway 75 near hospital drive. The 38 year old man from Salt Lake City was airlifted to Boise for treatment. Orihuela is facing a DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.


Thanksgiving travel has drawn to a close, but Idaho drivers are continuing to see prices plunge at the pump. Today, the average price for a gallon of regular in the Gem State is $3.64. Idaho prices have been falling since September 7, when drivers paid the most for the year at $4.16 per gallon.


A 36 year old man from Oregon who tried to portray himself as 15 years old to have sex with a teenage girl from Twin Falls is facing five felony charges. Frank Migel Stroud allegedly met the 13 year old girl online and stayed at her residence for two days. Later he led Lincoln County deputies on a pursuit that reached speeds of up to 125 miles an hour.
